What should a Jigsaw (BOSCH, DeWalt, Makita) have as a feature?

What would Jigsaw would you chose?
What price are you looking to pay?
What brand would you pick?
Any suggestions from your experience of working with a jigsaw?

All the brands mentioned are good jigsaws, including Black & Decker. As with any tool, you get what you pay for. Indispensable options for me include a quick-change blade and a carrying case. Going "cordless" is convenient, but in the long run, when you must replace the battery, it is going to be quite expensive.

Which of the saw movies focuses most on Jigsaw’s character?

I’m doing a study project for psychology on a few horror movie characters: Hannibal Lector, Jigsaw ect and i already pretty much know the plot of the saw movies but I would like to know which focuses most on the character of jigsaw.

Saw 2 focuses more on his past and his theories, and he’s on screen most of the time.

Saw 3 is a good choice too, but it just shows him suffering from his disease..doesn’t explain much about him.

Saw 2 would be the better choice :)

Can a jigsaw blade for ceramics be used to cut porcelain tiles?

November 24, 2009 - 6:47 am 4 Comments

Rona has a blade that is used for scrolling etc. but does not
mention porecelain. Where can I obtain the most desireable
blade and approximate cost?

get yourself a 4" angle grinder and put a specialist porcelain wheel on it , a normal one for ceramic tiles will take an age to cut through and will chip the edges quite badly, it will also get blunt pretty quickly and end up not going through at all. I use a wheel called a ‘Marcrist CK850 ‘ it costs about £30 but it goes cleanly through the toughest porcelain like a hot knife through butter. You can get them off the net or if you need one quick Builder Center do them. Don’t waste your time on the jigsaw blade it won’t work!

If you were about to complete a 1000 piece jigsaw puzzle and the last piece is missing?

Do you

leave it with 1 piece missing?

or break up the whole jigsaw and bin it?

ordo something else?

Draw the missing piece in with felt tip pen.

Do you think Jigsaw would want to play a game with you?

I asked this question but screwed it up, so i’m asking again. Do you think you value your life? Or can you see yourself in one of Jigsaw’s games? Thanks for your answers!

I am in a different game. It is "who can destroy the other in our family first" kind of game. It’s sick, but I didn’t know I was playing until last week. Nah, the jigsaw game was obvious. This other thing snuck up on me like a bad skunk.

How do I get started on a jigsaw puzzle?

November 16, 2009 - 1:08 am 5 Comments

It is a 1000 piece jigsaw puzzle and it’s my third that I have recieved, the first one being a 100 and then a 550 piece set.

I just don’t know how to start this one!

I always start with the corners, and the edge pieces. From there, it’s just a question of patience and observation.

Enjoy :-)
