Nowadays teenagers seem all too worldly wise at times and it is often easy for parents to forget the importance of giving teen advice about sex and teaching children that dating and sex are not one and the same thing. Many teenagers of course assume that sex is a normal and necessary element of dating and, in today’s society when images of teenagers engaging in sex are plasters across our television screens and on every page of teenage magazines, it’s not hard to see why this is the case. However, you should not simply assume that your teen understands the difference between dating and sex and this is one lesson which you will need to teach them sooner rather than later.
