If you do not …
If you do not believe what I said, use your eyes and see how many people waste their life on consummerism, Tv zapping and other philistine activities, plus they do not even remember what they “learn” in school.

Educational …
Educational Institutions are not to educate but to give certificates.
People go to those places not because they want to learn or because they love knowledge but because they want to get their ticket for well paid jobs.
Most of the people that finish high school end repudiating not only the institution but education itself.

It depends on the …
It depends on the teacher and the school. I’ve seen both.

Putting painters, …
Putting painters, dancers, musicians, chefs etc. in a technological industry for work just because it’s a job that is “supposedly” going to support their living will only make them(most of them) want to die. That translates to an inefficient workforce. Bad for the entire economy. Go take a Sociology class.

education should …
education should point toward a well balanced adult with values, and some funky dance moves for the office party. Goal orientated people are why the world is going wrong.
July 29th, 2009 at 4:44 am
I meant to say that …
I meant to say that at the end of the day education should point towards the jobs that the kids will end up having. We don’t have dancing jobs for 10% of our population.

you don’t …
you don’t understand what he is saying at all.
“Our countries live from technology”. no actually we live from air, water and food. He is not saying Science is bad, in fact there would be many more scientists if they had the right environment to discover themselves.
He is not saying that everyone should be dancers, rather we should enable our kids to discover their talents, be it dancing or rocket science.
Technology is a tool rather than a goal, you make your self sound pretty silly.

It is a good idea …
It is a good idea to focus on creativity in the schol system, and it may work to do some dancing to get the kids attention. But at the end of the day dancing is a tool rather than a goal.
Our countries live from technology. We can’t raise all our kids to become dancers. That will not work.

The Rudolf Steiner …
The Rudolf Steiner schools are fundamentally artistic and work to educate heart, limbs and head but in a way that all work in together. This is the sort of educational system he is talking about… and it is tremendously successful worldwide in developing individual initiative and creative lateral relationship to he world

what people dont …
what people dont understand is that schools arent designed to educate but to condition, to create obedient mindless workingclass people.
July 29th, 2009 at 4:44 am
No doubt there are …
No doubt there are social pressures that condemn the creative, however, if you personally have no courage to lead by your own judgement and be independant in your vision, it won’t matter if everyone is for or against creativity — if you can’t tell people they’re wrong, it won’t matter if your right.

“Fight Club” ..? …
“Fight Club” ..? Seriously?
C’mon man, this guy actually had some real stuff to talk about. I understand what you’re saying, but that book has a very narrow view of the world and of people.. it’s condemning to look toward stories like that for any real philosophical or social comparisons, or guidance.
We do control the system, because the system is just people with opinions. The challenge is to change those opinions, globally, by influencing other people to nurture creativity, not crush it
