Have you ever noticed that an athlete’s wingspan is always the hottest topic of discussion at professional tryouts?
During the NFL combines and NBA pre-draft camps, the issue of an athletes ‘wingspan’ comes up A LOT.
Why?
Because it’s a great indicator of athletic potential.
If you are 6’2″ with a huge 7’2″ wingspan, you have way more length and athletic potential than an athlete with the same height but an average wingspan.
That’s why athletes with abnormally large wingspans are always the hot topic during such events.
Unfortunately you can do nothing about your wingspan.
If you have a huge wingspan, great.
If you have an average or below average wingspan, just focus on training to jump higher to give yourself a different edge.
