The Latest on Alaska Cruise Deals

March 2, 2010 - 7:23 pm No Comments

The cabin of your choice is another area where you can easily earn a huge and enormous amount of money. For instance, a cabin facing the outside will be pricier than an inside cabin, and one that has a balcony will be even more money. In my experience, most cruisers to Alaska find that they don’t really spend that much time in their rooms. A huge part of the fun of a cruise is meeting the other travelers and sharing the glorious, expansive views of the Alaskan coast while relaxing on deck or at the bar.

The type of ship you select can also have a big impact on your budget. There are the three real options before you which you can look into. Keep in mind that all major Alaskan cruise lines have enormous ships and are inspired to offer some incredibly handsome promotions in order to lure travelers to fill them. Just as you’d imagine, the cruise line has every reason to ensure the ship is not sailing with any of its cabins empty. The downside, of course, is that because their ships are so big, it can be hard to get in close to the glaciers and other wildlife that you’re hoping to see.

There are two ships that are smaller and have an intimate feel, but they’re at different ends of the price spectrum. Priced towards the higher end, a few boutique cruise lines specialize in small ship adventures that bring you much closer to the scenery. A final and superbly cheap option is to hire one of the ferries that do the up and down the Alaskan coast. You might be rolling out your sleeping bag on the deck, but you’ll also be saving a ton of money!

Sedona

February 8, 2010 - 12:19 pm No Comments

I understand that Sedona AZ is, according to some people, a very spiritual place. I’ve heard that it is a special place for native Americans and people with various sensitivities. I have even heard about things like vortexes and such that are there. I have no idea what a vortex is but it sounds like its interesting. Anyway, I want to go check it out and need to book some cheap airline tickets and to find Sedona hoteles that would be in my price range but would be nice and close to all the cool stuff to be seen. I’m not sure if there is one best season to go, I’ll have to look into that too.

Don’t just consider cost when need to rent a car

February 3, 2010 - 10:52 am No Comments

It is always important when you are looking for deals on car rentals that you just don’t focus on the cost. It is easy to find the best deal when considering cost only; book well in advance, find some rental car coupons, longer the rental the cheaper (e.g. monthly car rental) etc. However, other things need considering like how good is the company’s customer services, how convenient is it to pick up and drop off your rental car? Are there any restrictions on where you can go or how far you can go during your rental? You certainly couldn’t challenge the world record for the highest altitude reached by a car however and come to that why would you want to? – By the way it is 6.688m (21.942 ft) in a modified 2006 Suzuki Samurai!

Marketing e-mails and renting a car…

January 31, 2010 - 9:58 am No Comments

One of the best ways to save money on your next car rental is to find rental car coupons so you can get money off your next deal. The most up to date car coupons are on the websites owned by the actual car rental companies but there are so many of them (e.g. Thrifty, Avis, hertz, National, Enterprise etc) and if you are to visit ever one every time you want to hire a car you will be taking up a lot of your time. One way around this is to visit them all once and subscribe to their email list so they automatically send you updates about their offers that just drop conveniently into a folder on your email account. It is best to use a free gmail address for example because then in the future if you don’t want any more you can simply delete the account and save you the hassle of unsubscribing from every email list one at a time.

Tunisian Holidays Are a Great Affordable Option

January 21, 2010 - 9:25 am No Comments

If you haven’t been to Tunisia before then I think you’re missing out on something for sure. Many people from the UK alone visit this idilic coastal country every year and the tourism share of Tunisia’s economy is steadily growing.

While most beach holidays tend to be something quite expensive it is true that holidays to Tunisia are in fact rather affordable for even families to enjoy. When you go you wont want to return home again, especially if you stay in one of the numerous luxury resorts common in Tunisia now :)
