Massage courses: perfect practice makes perfect.
What is the most important thing you learn when you go through your massage courses? Well it isn’t the academic subjects like anatomy and physiology etc in my opinion. I feel that it is the massage techniques. Think about it this way, what is your bread and butter here – people pay for your skill of massage and not the fact your physiology was top of the class.
So practice practice practice! Massage colleges do give you an advantage over and above online massage courses; if learning from home you just need to be more creative about how you organize your practice! In massage therapy schools though, it is common for the course tutors to organize field trips; students get to go to for example sporting events and work on actual members of the general public. They get the experience and also invaluable experience from the types of people they will one day be making a living from.
